News » 23.04.2024 - Floral Designers to compete in the new Floral Windows at Singapore Garden Festival 2024

 The National Parks Board (NParks) announced the record number of 18 designers who will be participating in the refreshed format of the Floral Windows to the World Championship (FWWC), which has been part of the Singapore Garden Festival (SGF). SGF will be held at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre from August 3 to 11, 2024.

This year, the FWWC will feature 17 international designers and one local designer – bringing more diversity to the competition with 13 designers participating in SGF for the first time. This is a significant increase as compared to previous seven iterations which had nine to international designers in each edition.

After a six-year hiatus, the FWWC takes on a new format where audience members can look forward to a live competition element during the first three days of the Festival from August 3 to 5. Participating designers will be tasked to execute a series of six tasks in front of judges and visitors to create their masterpieces from scratch, competing for the title of Grand Champion. Previous editions of the competition only featured one window installation, which were completed over four to five days prior to the start of SGF for judging.

The top five finalists will compete at a ticketed dinner event on the final day of the competition (August 5), where the Grand Champion will be crowned.
