News » 14.07.2026 - Turkmenistan greenhouse grows 70,000 Dutch rose plants

A greenhouse enterprise in Turkmenistan is cultivating around 70,000 rose plants imported from the Netherlands, according to the newspaper Rysgal.

The Nurly Meydan farming enterprise, located in the Bereket district of Balkan Province and operating under the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, produces ornamental roses for the domestic market.

The specialized greenhouse uses European cultivation technologies, including automated misting and irrigation systems, to maintain growing conditions and support flower production. Cut flowers are supplied to the company's flower shop in Ashgabat, where they are sold for gifts and special occasions.

In addition to floriculture, the enterprise operates a 13-hectare greenhouse complex, with 10 hectares dedicated to high-yield tomato production. The company is currently preparing seedlings for the next production season. The business also plans to expand its ornamental rose production and continue developing its greenhouse operations.
