News » 28.11.2025 - "Autumn leaves are nice, but chrysanthemums are irresistible"

The South Korean city of Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province, announced that the 21st Yangsan Chrysanthemum Festival, held at the Jungbu Plaza area of Hwangsan Park from October 24 to November 16, concluded successfully. This year's festival showcased more than 65,000 chrysanthemum works, lovingly cultivated by the city of Yangsan over the past year, to the public.

The festival venue was filled with an abundance of works, including around 300 bonsai pieces such as lotus root bonsai, stone bonsai, and wood bonsai; 500 multi-wheel and hanging sculptures; 2,000 large chrysanthemum pieces; and 62,200 small chrysanthemum pieces.

The sculptures harmoniously blended various themes, including Yangsan's history and traditions-such as the 2026 Yangsan Year of Tourism mascots "Hoyit" and "Ppuyong," the Sapnyang Gate, Blue Dragon, Yellow Dragon, and pagodas-as well as amusement park themes with carousels and Ferris wheels, and winter themes featuring igloos, snowmen, and penguins. These displays drew enthusiastic responses from many visitors.

During the festival, lighting was expanded to allow nighttime viewing until 9 p.m. For the first time this year, interactive booths were operated, offering activities such as bubble play, sand play, traditional culture experiences, and Halloween programs, which greatly increased satisfaction among family visitors.
