News » 18.06.2025 - Georgia blocks entry of 10,000 cut flowers from Armenia over pest concerns
Georgian authorities have denied entry to a shipment of 10,000 cut flowers from Armenia due to phytosanitary violations.
According to the Georgian Revenue Service, the flowers were stopped at the Sadakhlo-Sautomobilo customs checkpoint. Border inspection revealed insect damage on the plants, making the shipment non-compliant with national phytosanitary standards.
As per government regulations, the affected goods must be returned to the country of origin.
