These days, chrysanthemum morifolium growers in Cho Lach commune are focusing on taking care of flowers after planting. This is the time when plants need to be closely monitored because erratic rainy and sunny weather can affect growth, development and when flowers bloom. Meanwhile, the Tet crop is considered the most important consumption season of the year, so if flowers bloom early, late, or the quality does not meet requirements, growers may be directly affected by selling prices and production efficiency.

Mrs. Nam Thuy's family's garden this year continues to plant about 1,500 pots of chrysanthemum morifolium, equivalent to last year. In the previous crop, the selling price reached 170,000 - 180,000 VND/pair. This year, the weather is less sunny, sometimes without prolonged rain, making the trees easily wilt and turn green, the family has to proactively spray medicine to prevent diseases, each time costing more than 100,000 VND of medicine. Meanwhile, synthetic fertilizer is about 32,000 VND/kg, causing increased care costs.

According to Mrs. Thuy, growers are hoping for favorable weather, uniform development of trees, blooming on time for Tet and stable consumption markets. If the price is good, growers can compensate for costs and have profits.

Mr. Chin Doi's family this year planted about 3,000 pots of chrysanthemum morifolium. Last year, some pots experienced early blooming, leading to low selling prices, affecting income. From this experience, the family paid more attention to monitoring the weather, adjusting the care regime and applying techniques guided by the locality.
