Dutch companies are supporting the Ukrainian florist competition "Where Life Begins" 2025. The war brings many challenges for the floriculture and floristic sector of Ukraine, which nevertheless continues to thrive and develop.

At the end of August, Ukrainian florist Olena Driuchan competed at World Cup Floral Art 2025 in the Hague with 23 best florists of the world.

And already 11-13 September the Ukrainian National Floristic Competition took place in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Carolien Spaans, Agricultural Counsellor in Ukraine: "And I am proud that Dutch companies continue to support their Ukrainian partners. This year, the exhibition program includes master classes on floral decoration for HoReCa. Such decor is not only pleasant for guests, but also helps local businesses. As a symbol of the Dutch-Ukrainian partnership, I will be happy to see Dutch and Ukrainian flowers in the compositions."

The Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine is a partner of the National Florist Competition, this year on the professional platform FloriDeco exhibition-salon of floristry, ornamental plants and phyto design.

For the Netherlands, floriculture is a TOP sector of economy and major exports. Therefore, Dutch companies - breaders and suppliers of flowers and decorative materials are the reliable partners and sponsors of this competition.

However, floristry is also a universal language of communication, the art that over the years forms the cultural heritage of the people.
